Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon TBR!

I’m participating in my very first read-a-thon this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m looking forward to connecting with other book lovers as we try to read our little hearts out together.

I definitely won’t be one of those that attempts to stay up all night reading. If I don’t get my 7 hours I turn into a big baby for the next three days. But! It’s starting at 8 am for me so I’ll have just the right amount of time to wake up before I start reading. And then I plan on taking a break every 45 minutes (at least). Knowing my eyes, I’ll probably have to stop more frequently. Good news, though! I’m getting glasses in a month so this won’t be an issue for me for much longer!Of Delicate Pieces

My TBR for this event is focused on my Oct TBR since I picked so many books. I’ve just started Of Delicate Pieces by A. Lynden Rolland and want to attempt to finish that one during the readathon. If I need a break from it, though, I’ll pick up either Asylum by Madeleine Roux or The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich. I’m not sure which one I’ll want to read just yet but I’m keeping my option open, depending on how I feel!

Also, I have Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children that I’m listening to on audiobook. I might give that one a listen if the opportunity presents!

My goal for this readathon is just to have fun. Since I’m so new, I don’t even know what a good number of pages would be – I’m not bothering with any numbers this time around. I definitely want to try to keep active on Twitter, Instagram and here on my blog. If you’re participating, let me know and we can root each other on!

  1. We both had the same idea to attack our Oct tbr for the readathon. I have SO been wanting to read Asylum by Madeleine Roux but don’t have a copy yet. Good luck on Saturday!!
